Silver Sneetch (v 1.0)

The Silver Sneetch is a game of quick reflexes and nimble flying designed to be played while mounted on mouselook-flyers, such as our own Wyvernclaw brooms. The Sneetch will zip around an area based on its settings, and players must try to get close enough with their brooms to capture it. Alternately, it may be used as a cute follow pet that will zip around above your head.
USAGE:
The Sneetch has 3 modes: Suspended, Game, and Follow. When rezzed, the Sneetch will automatically enter the suspended state. This is the state in which you can configure it. Use the menu to set the parameters to your liking, then click Start to begin a game. Once the Sneetch has been captured or the timer has run out, it will return to the spot it started in.
CONFIGURATION:
The Sneetch has a number of options for a fully-customizable gaming experience. These options may be accessed by clicking the sneetch while it is in suspended (default) mode. The menu offers the following options:
Duration - This is the duration of the game, or the time in which the Sneetch will continue to zip around waiting to be caught. Times range from 2 minutes to an hour. If the Sneetch has not been captured by the end of this time period, it will return to its starting point and enter the suspended mode.
Radius - This sets the radius in which the Sneetch will keep during the game. The radius is based around the starting point. Try to ensure this radius covers land you have access to, so that the Sneetch does not go off-world (sim edges) or into plots that block its movement or stop its scripts. Remember that this is a radius, and not a diameter, meaning it will go as far as this distance from the starting point. A radius of 24m, for instance, means the Sneetch will be covering an area 48m in diameter. The Sneetch will attempt to keep its movement above ground.
Difficulty - Difficulty settings range from Novice to Expert, and determine the speed of the Sneetch, how long it tends to linger, how forgiving it is (how close you must get to it in order to "capture" it, and whether or not it leaves a trail (all settings except "Expert" will leave a particle trail behind the Sneetch to assist players in finding it). For example, in Novice mode it will tend to linger in some spots for several seconds at a time, move languidly, and allow itself to be captured within 4 meters. In Expert mode it will move quickly, linger for very short periods, leave no particle trail, and will only accept captures from players less than 1m away.
Size - The Sneetch can be set to one of three sizes (small, medium, and large). Default is medium. Remember that a smaller Sneetch is more difficult to find.
THE GAME:
The Sneetch may be played in any number of ways. It is designed to be a chasing game with Wyvernclaw mouselook brooms. When launched, the Sneetch will transport iself to a random location within the set radius and begin wandering randomly about. Players may mount their brooms and attempt to find the Sneetch and "capture" it by running into it with their brooms.
To capture the Sneetch, a player must come as close as possible to the sneetch, depending on the setting (Novice = 4m, Intermediate = 3m, Avanced = 2m, Expert = 2m). A Sneetch may also be captured by clicking on it while 1m outside of the capture zone (so on Novice settings, a player can click on a Sneetch from up to 5m away).
When "captured," the Sneetch will announce its captor and return to the starting location bearing its captor's name.
You may design any rules you wish. You may rez 10 of them and see who captures the most. You may run a timed relay to see who captures the Sneetch the fastest. You may choose a simple game of who catches it first. The rules are up to you.
Note that during Game mode, the Sneetch will only accept the following command: /77 stop. This will return it to the suspended state where you may configure via menu.
FOLLOW MODE:
You may instruct the Sneetch to follow you via the menu or by saying /77 follow while in suspended mode. It is utterly useless but cute in this state, flapping about around you. Say /77 stop to return it to the suspended state in its current location.
SELF-DESTRUCT:
The Sneetch will self-destruct during follow mode if it loses its owner or upon returning to the suspended state if its owner is no longer in the same region.
